Probably my favourite record from this great Mancunian label. Track on side A, "Fear Of Heights", is an outstanding example of the clever use of "silence" and simplicity in music. The sound of chords, the melancholic and suspended melody, the drum patterns.. all is so simple, well crafted and shining. As I said, Stott is also able to give to each sound a lot of room and character. The short silent breaks become an important element themselves, functional to the spacey atmosphere of the track.
