I doubt I will ever listen to a scarier record than "Nature Unveiled". The distant Gregorian chants, echoed like they were inside a cathedral, David Tibet's filtered and effected demonic voice, metal percussions, bells, gongs, noises and an allucinated atmosphere is what waits for you on the first side. On the other side there's a crescendo of spastic prayers, children weepings, more distorted Gregorian chants, drills, and a final total chaos of almost unbearable tension. If you wonder what Current 93 have to do with industrial music, here's the asnwer. This is probably the music Bach would have composed if he was born in the 20th century. I love Tibet's folk songs and magick poetry, I even respect his turning back to Christianity after having contempted it so much in his early works, but "Nature Unveiled" will forever be my favourite Current 93 album. This LP changed my life, definitely. Nothing that came after every matched it.
