Indicative of ambient sounds around 1995; its ambient with a general place to picture for a vision and mood combines with a pulse used as the occasional tempo and smattering of acid lines, "Maps of the Impossible" delivers a more than solid effort of tribal patterns and deep melodies. Almost impossible to tell what the country of origin in sound is you cant help but find yourself really liking all of these songs for what they are. Its just a well made album and virtually unknown to music lovers in the west although this cd is well respected by ambient heads in Europe and the far east. This is one of those rainy day cds that are timeless really. If i was to give you a atmosphere to describe this imagine listening to the sounds of Easter Island mixed with a rainforest. Another lesser known cd on a great underground label. 8.4/10
