- It really is a wonder why this CD never got more attention!?!?
It’s almost a holy grail for Bowie completists, as the unreleased stuff is only available here, plus the different version of I pity the fool etc.
My copy is very cherished and I remember being blown away by it when it came out in 1991. - This is an essential and fascinating collection of pre-Decca era Bowie. The quality of the demo tracks is a bit flaky but as historical artefacts they’re still worth having. A vinyl version of this would be very welcome, especially if they replaced I Pity The Fool/Take My Tip with the single mixes, and maybe include the slightly different mixes on a 7” that could come with the main album.
- Apparently some versions of the CD have two extra tracks: alternate vocal versions of The Manish Boys single 'I Pity The Fool' and 'Take My Tip'. Can anyone confirm this by adding details how to distinguish that version from the regular one(s)? See: http://www.teenagewildlife.com/Albums/EO/Title.html
