back in 1999 i used to shop at Skylark records (PL) which offered a really good techno/house selection back then - on that very day i picked a copy of phylyps and octagon and the guy at the counter asked if i liked the newest BC record (not bad of a joke) and when he played the AA1 track ("grow") i got what he meant - sounding too clean for a BC production it was excellent nonetheless. two minutes into the track i knew that ep will be mine, and then came the AA2 cut, instantly a favourite. in a way it reminds me of robert hood's best moments - it still surprises me how much you could express with a handful of synthetic timbres, some fx and a drum machine.

Absolutely essential techno masterpiece. The name of the twelve inch ("Yellow Yard"), which is exactly the same of the first track of the A Side - was given by the stores themselves when it was released and distributed. "Maya", originally called "Svali", shines intensely - it's certainly a unique tune, sharped by the creativeness of a true avant-garde spirit. Applying to the ideas of coolness and protection, it was dedicated to the Exos' father - At the end of 2001, it was played as the ouverture of Pascal F.E.O.S.'s brilliant set at HR XXL Clubnight. Surely it is a majestic piece of art far away from the from the old formulas of pumpin' techno. "Communications" can be defined - at least - as an amazing mixture of the atmospheric and the dancefloor elements on a single track: it's really a lesson of how can a techno tune be of 'surpassing excellence'. Two musics of this level is much more than anyone can expect from a techno single nowadays...
