Bleep house, wobbling bass, technoid rhythms and start stop instrumental hip hop born out of James Foxs home studio from a love of music that makes people want to dance. Ingredients are kept to the essentials and tweaked to create stripped down grooves and DJ friendly tracks.
01 - Push Comes to Shove Clickly bleepy and deep. An infectious bassline and vocal snippet action drive this chunky track forward in all the right directions
02 - Withington Flexxout Epic rifts join the clicking shuffle of a beat which has its 4am hat firmly positioned. This is a druggy track to get very lost in. Close your eyes and zone out. The breakdown loses you further as the deep rift pulls you deeper.
03 - Stop Rhythm Is that Marshall Mathers? Another deep beat, this time of a slower relaxed feel. Summer crusing comes to mind. Simple and non threatening , perfect for Sundays and after party mong sessions.
Overall An amazing release with a real range and depth of sound on presentation. James Fox is onto something. A name to watch who will no doubt not just be found on netlabels. And as far as netlabels go, Myuzyk is already proving itself.
