Whitehouse ‎– Cream Of The Second Coming

Great double LP by Whitehouse. Sort of a "greatest hits", if there is such a thing with Whitehouse, that offers an overview of the first decade of their career. Pressed very nicely and loud on heavy vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. There's a wide range of tracks here from "Shitfun" (1981) to "Thank Your Lucky Stars" (1990), but all the tracks flow well together and I think this would be a great place for new Whitehouse fans to start to hear some of their older stuff if they're only familiar with newer albums. And the tracks are still varied enough that you can sit through the entire thing from start to finish, assuming you like this type of stuff in the first place. It's also one of the few places (and I think the cheapest) to get "My Cock's On Fire" and the original version of "The 150 Murderous Passions" on vinyl. The backwards version of "Avisodomy" works as well as the original, how many groups can say their tracks sound as good in reverse as they do played in the right direction? Strange, scary, enlightening shit.
