From start to finish this is one hell of a sonic experiment. Rupture takes you on a journey that covers every aspect of music and noise that you could ever wish for. Venetian Snares shares a tracklist with Paul Simon and a whole load of violent beats, insane rhythms and plenty of ragga toasting. This is what a DJ mix is about. Only Coldcut´s reknowned Journeys by DJ mix comes close to what Rupture had done on this CD, and even that was a studio venture. Gold Teeth Thief is an audio assault that manages to capture the essence of a diverse range of musical genres and mashes them up together in a coherent and unforgettable live DJ mix (yup, you can even hear the odd fuck-up).
