When Charley goes hoovering! The A side record is famous for its obsessive sample of a young girl confirming U that ".. If you're bad, You'll die when you die". But you may also know it for its use of a very dark and powerfull bass in the mood of the hoover sound so famous circa 90 (Mentasm et al). It is a surprisingly dark and heavy record coming from Charley Casanova, usually more uptempo and housey, but excellent ! The Hip-hopesque B-sides with uses of James Brown samples on a punchy breakbeat are cool but less catchy (a bit repetitive), unless you pitch them up and discover a Breakbeat/UK hardcore jungle thing!

New Yorker Charlie Casanova on one of his many excursions on European recordlabels (after classic releases on Holland's fantastic Go Bang), one side oldskooly Brooklyn Hip Hop, other side classic Belgian Hardcore hoover madness. Dark as hell with "If you're bad, you'll die when you die" terrorised little kid spoken intro and BIG rave soundz all around. Another proof that hardcore doesn't need to be fast to be furious and unsettling !! The Brooklyn - Belgium connection in full effect !!
