Although Red Snapper split up after the release of "Our Aim Is To Satisfy Red Snapper", it was well-known that a few instrumentals were still lying in vaults somewhere.

Seven of those leftovers were heterogeneously gathered on this album but their quality is hardly arguable. From the opening ternary track "Regrettable" to typical IDM material like "Ultraviolet" or "Dnipro", the band experiments breakbeat, funk and acid jazz to bring it all back home, their home: "fuck-off jazz", as they once stated.
Unfortunately, some songs like "Area 51" or "Quicktemper" (the latter unavailable on the some versions of "Making Bones") remained in the can, while the Sabres Of Paradise remix of "Hot Flush", previously available on "Reeled And Skinned" is strangely present.

Besides, the listener will fully enjoy the two live tracks that close this musical trip. Snapper... What a stage band, in fact! That's why we can regret that Mr Friend, Thair and Ayers didn't fill the remaining space (over twenty minutes) with a few other stage renditions.

I would like to say it's highly probable that only a two-disc set would have fulfilled the Red Snapper fans, but it's still a good release. Sometimes deep and dark, but always clean and subtle.

(This CD is also a cool object designed by NON.FORMAT.COM)
