Traces Mutant Revisited is a seminal track, the aftershocks of which are still being felt in the scene today in 2002. When people talk about "dark" or "darkside" drum n bass this is the sound they are refering to.

The time of its release (1996) it also helped further define Drum n Bass from its Jungle origins, and for those a little more pedantic practically blueprinted the Tech-Step sound.

This particular track has been remixed by some of the most important next generation tech-steppers. Namely Stakka & Skynet (Underfire), Bad Company (BC), Black Sun Empire (DSCi4), Concord Dawn (DSCi4), Kemal (Cryptic Audio) and Shimon (Ram). Some of which are still eagerly awaiting release.
