Reviews & Discussion

Review by Crijevo Apr 06, 2005 (edited over 7 years ago)
Although most remixes in the 80s weren't doing anything particular except getting nowhere with their extention numbers, 'You Can Dance' is a surprisingly good set of medleys that won't leave the dancefloors empty. The album's highlights are certainly a remixed version of 'Everybody' which sounds quite avant garde at some point, also worth checking is 'Over & Over' on the flipside, a fair share of rhythm and noise. The rest is by now classic-Madonna, a stunning extended mix of 'Into the Groove' and then-unreleased song 'Spotlight' which despite lacking the power of most hits represented here, deserves a mention for its charming effect naive-Madonna of 1987. And you can dance...
