Jimpster goes full-on electronic jazz with his MESSAGES FROM THE HUB. "Releasing Red Soul" lets you know right off the bat that jazz is definitely the order of the day; "Weft N' Warp" has a solid synth line that eventually leads into some complex layering of instruments. The title track swirls around in a minor key, like wolf calls on the lonely tundra, while "The Blazing Water" sounds like a trumpeteer announcing the sunrise. "You Are..." adds a melancholy to the proceedings, while "Static Dynamic" goes for electronic funk. "Maiden Voyage" is a poet's journey into sound, aided and abetted by the dreamy vocals. A real blow-you-away album.
