Boys Noize - Oi Oi Oi Remixed

Boys Noize gets some tough techno love on their _Oi Oi Oi Remixed_ disc, starting with an aggressive take of "& Down" from Siriusmo, followed by Feadz's more straightforward club take on "Lava Lava." The rock attitude of Proxy's approach towards "Let's Buy Happiness" seems to be more of a critique of capitalist culture more than anything, and Para One turns "My Head" into an electro-house stomper. If that's not enough stomp for you, Housemeister provides plenty more in "Don't Believe the Hype" (even if the track abruptly switches gears halfway through). But on a release where all the tracks sound a little too similar, it's the one that doesn't that breaks out: Apparat's glitchy and comparatively mellow mix of "Shine Shine" -- and shine it does.
