I haven't been a fan of Rod Modell for an extremely long time, but ever since I became one I took upon myself to collect every CD he released, no matter what alias he was using. One such CD that turned out to be rather impossible to get ahold of was Vantage Isle. A collection of versions of the title track performed by Deepchord, Echospace, CV313 and Convextion. All of which Modell is a member of save for the last. Anyways, to make a long story short, I was overly please when this album was decided to get re-issued in a wider number (the original version, was limited to 100 copies and released in 2007). I can honestly say the wait was worth it though. If you're a fan of such releases as 01-06, Vibrasound, The Colest Season and Incense & Blacklight... Your collection won't be complete without this compilation. Even though this is essentially the same track remixed/reworked 13 times, you'd be hard pressed to notice it without seeing the track listing first. Very good variety, and deep as always.
