Patrice Scott - The Evolutions EP

What a record !!!! Definetely one of the best records in 2008 for me. It will sticks in my dj bag for ages, its that sort of timeless tracks that never fail. What makes it special is that musical freedom on top of those tech-soul patterns ... all combined with Patrices usual deepness. Alongside Omar S "Psychotic photosynthesis" and a few others this year, this record should be part of a musical training for those guys who "produce" that sort of strangely and mistakenly called "minimal techno" music (I would call it "empty techno"). "Minimal" shouldnt be treated as a general term for that emptyness in nowadays trendy dance music. Really hope that records like "Evolutions" will be educational at least for somebody who wanna turn up to the right direction. Ksoul
