You know, the funny thing about this CD comp is that this was the "commercial" sound of techno, and in its day, it was offensive to my ears compared to the so-much-cooler "underground" techno from Berlin and Detroit. But now that my ears have had twelve years to mull over these perceptions, I now realize that compared to the fucking shitty-ass swilly "techno" being made today, these tracks are comparatively THE BOMB! Time does answer a lot of questions! If I only knew then how much worse techno was going to become, I would have saved my breath ripping on this stuff. There are still a few cuts on this that still make me want to puke, but there are also a few that are completely top-notch! Bring Jesus back? Bring decent production merits back into techno production! Hey mommy, I just made a techno track with my MTV Music Generator! And all I had to do was copy and paste! COOL!
