Having Carl Craig remix your record is almost always a good idea. He can make magic with very pedestrian tracks. In this case I can't compare his mix with the original since it's not included, but the magic in this record is undeniable. It builds and builds and builds, using claps and vocal bits for the first 2/3 of the record which sounds awesome layered with just about anything instrumental. When it finally breaks down, this monster bassline creeps in and the beats finally fly and people go absolutely bananas. The 909 programming towards the end makes it worthwhile to play the whole track out.
Pepe Bradock is also a visionary, but his mix sounds very tame compared to the dancefloor incinerating C2 mix. He takes it on a deep dub ride that creates a whole other mood for the track.
