The hit single ‘Punk’ was the first track that was released by Ferry Corsten under his own name. The track ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ was the second release as Ferry Corsten. This one saw came out in the summer of 2003. Just as ‘Punk’, it was also released on the Tsunami label (Catalogue number: TSU 6040).

‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ is a heavily electro influenced track. It also contains some strange, robot sounding vocals, which are done by Ferry himself through a vocoder. The track became a big success and it’s probably the most played record ever by Ferry! Especially for his own sets, Ferry made a slightly different version, which works great everywhere around the globe!

The single release of ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ entered the English Single Charts Top 40 at number 11. This was something very special as never before in Dutch music history one DJ / producer had more than 8 single chart hits in England! In Holland 'Rock Your Body, Rock' had been voted the most popular club tune of 2003 / 2004.

The ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ video is directed by Dutchman Jeroen Hofs, also known as the performing artist ‘Eboman’. This video contains a high emphasis on playful animation applications and special effects wizardy in combination whereby Ferry operates the controls all the way. The guy who’s doing the gymnastics (Voltige) in the video, is Jeroen Haradon. Jeroen was European champion ‘Voltige’ in 2003 and he lives in the street where Ferry used to live before.

Something else which is pretty funny, is that the Tsunami vinyl has a nice gimmick. When you check the B-side of the vinyl (The remix by F. Massif), you’ll see something funny in the grooves of this record. Check your vinyl and find out yourself! ;-)

And… there’s another nice story to tell about ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’. In the period of its release Ferry had his radio show ‘World Tour’ on ID&T radio. Ferry wrote the scripts for the show and recorded the vocals first and he wanted to make a sort of an old school, electro style break beat track (think 'Hashim - Al Naafiysh (The Soul)') and use that one during the ‘World Tour’ show. But later he decided to build a brand new track around the vocals. And the result became the version of ‘Rock Your Body, Rock’ that we all know now.
