Credits

DJ Mix - Soundmurderer

Notes

All tracks mixed by Soundmurderer for Rewind Records. Parts 1 and 2 mixed 1999-2000, part 3 mixed 2003.

This was originally intended to be a mixtape, track 1 being side A and track 2 to be side B. Because of the space available when recording a CD a third darker and more futuristic bonus track was added for this release.

2.15 is listed wrongly on the cover as Da Matrix - Come Een. The correct track is shown in the Tracklisting.

Reviews & Discussion

All old school jungle mixes from this point on are obsolete, perfection has been attained.

What I find really cool is that Soundmurder didn't use a single track of his own in this mix, even though he and SK-1 were responsible for some of the absolute best tracks to come from the era. He could have easily used this mix to promote his own productions, but instead it comes off as a homage to all the other great producers around at the time. Classy!

Added to my top ten records list. Usually I'm into all the chin-stroking stuff but this mix is way too good to be true, classic tracks from all the masters, plenty of amens to go and this thing is killer on your subwoofers too :D Can't get enough, hopefully he releases another mix.

Part 2 is my favourite but don't think that the others suck just because of that... it's VERY close.
