I came across this album while MTV was still confused as to what the industrial rock craze was with the teenagers of the time. MTV was showing videos for Shame and What Do I Have To Do (one of the first emo tracks...it's gotta be), and I, being a huge fan of KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry-esque bands at the time) grabbed this album and loved it. It had just enough synth sounds and creepy moods throuoghout the disc not to love it. It got a little much from Christopher Hall's vocals, which wanted to cross the line into goth territory, but still had a rocking edge to it. The instrument on the album sound meticulously mixed and the producer did a great job. But as far as this album's legendary status, I could only rate it a 3 out of 5 because it came at a trendy time when bands like Gravity Kills were riding on Prodigy's success and other TVT records' artists. Not a classic, but a great listen if you're interested in any of the aforementioned groups.
