Reference Bahamas-Miami T.K. Disco sound. The "At Midnight" song is an all-time classic disco song and one of my top 10 disco songs. It features great percussion (the 3 first minutes is a killer percussion-instrumental intro that will shake everybody), that many copied afterwards. The vocals are also very sexy yet energetic. This 113 bpm version is the original, as also heard into the collection "Live at the Paradise Garage" by Larry Levan. Note that the song in the LP does not feature the 3 min intro which is the best part in my opinion. The later 124 bpm re-mix by Paul Raymond Records is even more dynamic (even though you can pitch the original on your own!), so it is worth checking as well. Was the above review useful to you?
