Finally, a top 10 for poor "old" Mandy in her homeland, and an end to musical snobbery in the UK!! Leave it to PWL pop producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman to dust off this Human League classic, and inject it with some Erasure-esque swirly synths (not quite a breakdown, but the coolest part of the song!!). Lyrically, a cheeky tongue-in-cheek saucy surefire pop hit that gallops perfectly along to the happy, positive sound that PWL made famous in the mid to late 80's. One might think the song was written just for her, released around the time she was splitting from aging hubby Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, who was in her teens when she first met the 40ish rocker. Starts off sounding like Madonna's "Express Yourself" when you first hear the intro, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face while shaking it at the local disco!!
