This is the last comp. from YOYO/BNE records before the millenium. Let me start by saying that the track “The Messenger” is worth a whole album. If I had to vote the best track from the new generation of PSI trance, I would vote this! It starts with 3 mins of gentle yet touching piano notes, then soft breaks come along with some other riffs alltogether, until suddenly a fast and deep 4/4 kick stomps. Suddenly the tempo slows down and continues for several mins. until suddenly the initial piano notes comes again; and when you think it is over a downtempo yet very danceable beat drops – in all 11 minutes of out-of-this-world trance music that only Infected Mushroom can do and no one else! And hey.....this is a B-side!
But there isn't only this track here. Album kicks with the wonderful Last Man in The Universe, Yahel's masterpiece showcasing the super melodic (nostalgic if you like it so) Israeli morning trance. The collaboration b'ween California Sunshine and MFG is another full-on blaster. Mystica's Orient Express has a smashing kick along another super melody. Another favourite of mine is Sandman's STP – maybe not as good as his classic Natural Born Killer or End of The World but still excellent. Aah.... there is also a 1999 remix by Quirk for one of the best trance tunes ever; which is X-File by Chakra & Eddie Mis.
All in all another 16 tracks which when heared you'll say “hey – this must come from Israel!”
