Reviews & Discussion

Review by fabriknos Mar 13, 2011 (edited about 1 year ago)
I got this album when catching sight of it from nothing other than Discog's recommendation feature when I was browsing stuff by the likes of Juno Reactor, Son Kite, Koxbox, etc. Not knowing what to expect, I sat down for a listen and was very much impressed. A daring mixture of goa trance, downtempo, and funky tribal sounds all fused into a very original and enjoyable release that I have returned to many times since the first listen. I tend to gravitate towards Groover when mixing stuff of this style, but several other tracks are worthy of spin time and I still haven't utilized the album fully which gives me something to look forward to during my next psytrance set. Blue Room Released has a strong reputation and for good reason, they get their hands on truly unique material and Diffuse is one of those gems.
