Drop acid not bombs!

That would be an adequate sum up of this quintessential old school goa trance classic. Its one of the unquestionable pinnacles of the golden era, overloaded with energy, wild attitude and plenty of skills to carry out all those mad ideas!

Neil Cowley, Matt Coldrick and Richard Trevor, three obvious wackos unite under the alias The Green Nuns Of The Revolution, and deliver an album which in my opinion has in tact all the elements which mark a true classic.

Well thought out melodies, samples which are actually funny and dont get on ones nerves after the fourth listen, tracks which are simultaneously mentally tweaked out, intelligent and dance floor orientated, occasional intrusions of electric guitars which once and for all prove that psy trance and guitar riffs can go hand in hand, unpredictable musical structures, always in pursue of edge and challenge rather than conventionality. In addition to all of the above, the entire album is nonchalantly plunged into a universe of hopping mad acid synth lines.

Whatever it might be that you, or anybody else, associate old school goa trance with, chances are youll find what youre looking for on "Rock Bitch Mafia". Its one of those albums where the final results meet the expectations, where the hype is justified, where the praise is not overblown and the often unmerited -classic- tag is spot on. Pity is, due to its immense quality, this remains to this day a very sought after album, relatively hard to come by, so some potential customers might get turned away by the astronomical prices it fetches on eBay auctions.
It remains however an album which is well worth your money, and similar releases in this niche I can recommed are Pranas sophmore album "Geomantik", "Dragon Tales" by Koxbox, Ominus self titled album, and/or some synth heavy tracks by Technossomy, and especially the old school vinyl releases by Slinky Wizard on Flying Rhino Records.
