Some say that Mos Def is the voice of hip hop, but for me it's Gang Starr, and this is the album of choice. From start to finish, this is what I think of when it comes to hip hop. One of the best producers and djs matched up with Guru's unmistakable "king of monotone" sound; and both at the best of their game. I would put Above the Clouds and Moment of Truth in my top 20 hip hop and these tracks are just the tip of the iceberg on this excellent album.
