The remixes on this Kool Kat pressing are much better than the original Nude Photo which was released on Transmat. Both mixes are more energetic and the BPM's are slightly higher. True 1988 style acid house!!!
Until the end of last year, this was an ultra rare record; copies were sold for €40 and I once heard that even Derrick May did not have a copy of this anymore. Luckily, the record was re-pressed in October 2004!
Now this brings back memories. 1988, graduation year. I ended up dj'ing almost all of the grad parties. Anyway, I played this e-p often at the grad parties, and of course througout Chicagoland at the sets I played. The cut I most rocked was "Sinister". I just listened to an old tape I had recorded a mix on where I went from our Chicago Jams to a set of Detroit Techno. I went from "Uses Me" to "Illusion" to "the Chase" (by Juan Atkins) to"R-tyme" to "SINISTER". Almost brought a tear to my eyes. Man I miss the atmosphere those tracks were able to create. The new Music is good, but the classics are immortal.
