Smallpeople & Rau* ‎– Meadows

Smallville is a synonym of quality for the more dub and sophisticated ambient. What we had used last year through "And Suddenly It's Morning", an evocative title for up to a great output, it is proposed as an excellent prelude to the EP number 21, which does not disappoint the expectations: the duo Julius Steinhoff and Dionne, ie Smallpeople, joins Christopher Rau (who will release his next album soon, Asper Clouds, right on Smallville), creating the magic.

Two tracks, "Meadows" and "Life Aquatic", Smallville-style, slow, absorbing, essential: the atmosphere is exciting, poetic. "Life Aquatic", as the title says, evokes an underwater environment, linear, deep. The title track is perhaps even more bare-bones but no less exciting and hypnotic. Definitely not a record to be mainstream, as evidenced by the feedback from artists released more "intimate" (Pheek, Anton Zap, Sven Tasnad, Jimpster, Rene Breitbarth ...), but nobody said that this is bad...
This is perfect music for '"early morning", as they say in the environment.
