Made In England.

Recording of Autechre's second Peel Session for BBC Radio 1, transmitted 8th September 1999. Infamously, due to the absence/loss of the track names, John Peel made up the titles himself.

The covers and liner notes of this release are white with all lettering and artwork printed in clear-gloss varnish. The varnish print is transparent when viewed straight-on and readable only when angled obliquely.
Comes in a standard jewel case with four page booklet.

Reviews & Discussion

The first track is definatly the best on the CD. "Gelk" is excellent, starting off delicately and then moving onto a darker feel before comming back to something between the two.
The next two tracks are good, but the last track "19 Headaches" is the worst on the CD. Its not awful, but theres nothing special about it.
The CD doesn't compare to Autechres albums, but then how could it?

What are you saying about this?
Incredible! The minimum i can say about these tracks is that they are mesmerizing gorgeous!
But do you know what exactly happen when the first track starts?WHOOOAAAAHZZZ man...
This is a maximum excellent album: the melodies are folded inside the beats with a super sensibility oveflowing change wonderfully crafted and continuosly shaped with innovative layers after each millisecond.Their use of melody and rhythm is a contemprary music masterpiece from now on.
These pieces can be used spaciously to try to start a communication between extra terrestrial being among space planets.

Good but not perfect. Then again these tracks were performed live, so they didn't have the time to tweak and perfect them like a studio release would have done. The opening track is the highlight here. All in all, this is not a release you need unless you are a die hard Autechre fan.

"gelk" and "blfil" are great! the other two songs are rotten, but those two songs are worth it really, and this ep is really cheap anyway. i suggest you buy it.
