Notes

This transparent 7" was not on sale in record shops, rather it was given away as a gift to only a handful of people. There were only 50 ever made, with each being individually numbered on the sleeve from one to fifty. Some of these 50 vinyls carried a folded A4 paper with some crazy info that Mark N printed for fun.

The sticker on the Anna Wood side has a picture of a girl named Anna Wood in black and white, with "i'm having the best night of my life!" written round the edge of it. Anna Wood was a 15 year old girl who died of an ecstacy related death in 1996 at a rave. There was a lot of moral panic in the press surrounding rave parties after the death of Anna Wood, the track takes a piss on the commentary made at that time.
The track uses samples from KOTZAAK0 "fuck you fuck them fuck your mother fuck your sister fuck your father fuck your family fuck em all!" as well as the Australian news broadcast detailed Miss Wood's demise.

On the other side is a picture of DJ Paul also in black and white with "i wanna see a rainbow high in the sky" written round the edge.
This track was made to criticise DJ Paul for selling out the hardcore scene and making 'loads of money' by producing cheesy music. The track uses samples from most of the classic Rotterdam Records & also uses a sample which says "hey DJ Paul you fucking wanker fuck off".

No artist or tracklist information appears on the disc, tracklist info is taken from:
Easiest $300 I Ever Made and N Of Terror.

Track on side A appears on N Of Terror as B7 Nasenbluten - I Love To Have A Beer With Duncan.

Reviews & Discussion

This is an awesome record. It is what it is; an ultra-rare single that was programmed with a snarl and it takes no prisoners whatsoever. It is pure attitude. Very Bloody Fist.

Alternatively, it provides valuable and insightful social commentary upon pressing current affairs matters of the time. It's still very Bloody Fist and it's still wicked.

Both of these comments are true. Not a lot more to say; you're not going to find the commentary on the Dutch music scene anywhere else. "Anna Woods" is available elsewhere if you're really really lucky (FISTC-12).

Due to the scant number of copies made and the bad taste value of the musical content, this record fetches frankly insane amounts on the like on ebay. Much to the embarassment of Mark N who is probably aghast that a couple of tracks he did for a laugh at the time fetch such a lot.

The tracks is themselves are cheap stitch-together affairs probably knocked in a short time, which add to some of their...heh...'Charm', plus the sound quality is absymal. To be honest, instead of hunting down this record, you would spend less money finding MP3s of the tracks on a fileshare program and having youre own vinyl copy pressed, I know of at least 1 DJ that has done this.
