Trans-X (original), 2 Brothers on the 4th floor, Gary D, U96, Pakito, just to mention a few artists that used the sequence melody from the legendary 80's hit Living on video. Each one of them gave it's personal touch to this track. U96 gave a solid trance anthem, a true masterpiece. The introduction is identical to that of Das Boot in two of the three versions and then they used string sounds to create the legendary melody (version 2). The song comes also with a message (deliberate or not) throughout the limited lyrics. The quote love sees no colour means a lot. The first tracks are far different from the most known version 2. The strings are necessary to create a mystical atmosphere and the fat drum line to accompany the bass line in a trip to trance music. Combine now the above with the Living on video melody. Oh yes, version 2... More uptempo, more melody, more trance, more love sees no colour.
The pop crisis is a break track i think innovative in that era. It's good, pleasant in hearing with a funny childish melody for introduction and conclusion.
