If think if people understood the history of this amazing record they'd realize it's true power. So let me be the one to tell you how this record was born;
DJ Scud was visiting Something J & DJ Maxximus in Berlin a few years back and told them of the new popular trend in London, Two-Step. Well, Something J & DJ Maxximus had never heard that music before, so DJ Scud explained it to them with words because he had no Two-Step records to play for them. So Something J & DJ Maxximus decided to make their own, but having never heard the style it ended up sounding quite different. They sent the finished tracks to Rephlex, but Rephlex said they couldn't use the tracks, but they handed them off to Warp. And the rest is history.
The funny thing is that these tracks are alot more Grime than Two-Step, and this is kind of before the Grime boom,... so in a strange way these two Berliners are also kind of forfathers of the Grime sound.
