This mix shows that techno does have to be about throwing down thirty five loop tools in an hour to prove your skills. Laurents mixes are extremely drawn out to the point of creating new tunes from the two records playing over the top of each other - in some instances he mixes the next track in for almost three minutes. Its a shame nobody still makes music like this anymore - stuff that incorporates house tempo and rhythms, the melody and beauty of trance, the futuristic sounds and effects of techno and with a pinch of acid thrown in for good measure. One of my top ten mix cds without a doubt. Timeless and mesmerising.
