Althought Puissance is very conservative about their musical style and "ideology" (in other words resistent to the change) its clearly noticed how their works are less and less "inflammable" with the years. State Collapse deals with the same theme Puissance likes so much, total collapse of civilization and human kind. But if you hear the lyrics they are not so sure about their precepts of annihilation in a extreme way anymore. they even claim that theres ways to "reform" mankind like "burning the schools and changing the morals" (good idea but thats not nothing new) they dont ask for a return of totalitarism also or any similar doctrine. The work deals with martial industrialism in the way Puissance has been working for so long (old formula of synths and synthetic drummings)and adds some choruses and more emphasis on the singing this time.the general mood is a lot more tuned down and peaceful, theres songs that even have beats and makes Puissance sounding a little poppy! The choruses sound a lot more in the reign of synth pop that in martial industrial and the peaceful moments (which are abundant in this work) reminds us of the sensation of fatigue after a long journey or fight theres not any hint of the proud strongness they used in previous works as an anthem to exterminate the world. Its a nice work that may be a turning point in their career and that leads us to think that no misanthropist survive its own predicament.
