Not so keen on the title track here. Don't get me wrong - it's nicely put together but the overall mood doesn't really float my boat.
The other three cuts on this are so good however, I feel it justifies my '5' rating. 'Arp Surface' has a sweet arpeggiated synth pattern over detroit pads and a nicely low-slung bassline. Dixon's edit of 'Oblivion' is an awesome electronic deep-house excursion with a really positive feel to it. Pick of the bunch for me is the Maurice Faulton rmx of 'Vacuum Jackers'. It's like detroit techno meets late 70's disco in a perfect match-up. Funky drums followed by a funky-as bassline topped off with the mother of all piano sections (it's not fussy or complex - it's just right). This record's strength is it's diversity.
