Peven Everett is a Chicago born and raised musician and singer who plays many instruments and is best known for his collaborations on projectrs like "Gabrielle" by Roy Davis Jr.. For this project, he works together with vocalist Billie Jewel and percussionist Larry Billups. Though the main element on this album is house music, it is a musical trip from downtempo jazzy grooves over rap influenced songs to uptempo and more minimal Chi-house influenced tracks. This album shows Peven Everett's love for soulful music, especially soulfoul house music.
