"O Fortuna" is not a particularly good song, even in its original incarnation as "Carmina Burana", Carl Orff's ominous, epic 1930s composition for orchestra & choir. Nevertheless, it's a tune that a lot of people just find entertaining, perhaps because it's so tense, dramatic and straightforward. In some respects it's just an overproduced pop song, but I admit even I thought it was adventurous at first. The juxtaposition of "evil" mega-choral samples with "hard", post-New Beat techno synths & percussion was a novel and natural fit at the time, part of the battle between Dutch, German, and UK "rave" producers to see who could make the noisiest, most over-the-top bangers that people would still dance to. It wasn't the first or last of its pounding, cacophonous ilk, but it was perhaps the 'best' by some measures. Is it an anthem? No, and no self-respecting DJ today would touch it except perhaps as a tongue-in-cheek gesture. But is it ridiculously memorable? You bet, and that's what makes it great.

The famous of O'Fortuna track by Apotheosis..maybe one of my favorites of all times and lot of people love it also..
It's so popular all over the world.....We all know it was banned ...deleted out of the market because of the illegal use sample of the classical gospel music carmina burana originally writen and produced by CARL ORFF..
This o fortuna track is just a piece of art ... back in 1991 when I first heard it, i was so impress of how smart techno house music can be ..This track is just amazing and is also a collectors item since is totally out of print and hard to find this days!!
