This record commemorates the New Year's party in Minneapolis Minnesota in 1998. The party was held at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and due to the venue, was one of the loudest that i can remember. There were many interactive art displays and a giant wall of sound. I remember 40 somethings in suits from other parties ending up saying " I like to get down" by the end of the night. The Music is cool, each track's author indentifing himself musically within the first few turns. These 3 midwest pioneers know how to work a floor. The Hyperactive track in a dancefloor burner. He also had a release of this name on Sounds years before, release 13, which was the influence of these tracks. The ESP track is a more mellow approach, with little vocal and housy feel. The etones track has a feel of one of his earlier releases, on sounds release 25, detergent for the soul, , and has a nice little "git on up, git on down' vocal. a real representation of his influence on the minneapolis house scene.
