There is music for your mind that makes you think and there is music for the body that moves your feet. This crime against techno firmly manages to be neither. Both 'Come On' and 'Rock' are mind numbing techno devoid of any emotion and laden with hideous vocal loops. 'Burner' is scarely any better; it's only saving grace is that it's less annoying than the A-side. What has struck me most is the discovery that it's actually by Robert Hood. How can the man behind releases such as Minimal Nation, The Protein Valve and one of my most revered tracks 'The Grey Area' spew this atrocity from his studio?
If you like Robert Hood and don't want your opinion of him tainted, avoid this record. In fact the same applies if you like deep or minimal techno at all. The only good thing I can say about this is that it's been pressed on piss-quality lightweight vinyl almost as flimsy as paper, which make it easier to snap.
