This Masters At Work remix of Yasushi Ide's Plein Soleil first attracted me to the great collective of Bossa Tres...Jazz (the compilation and remix album are both seriously worth investing in). However, this remains the pinnacle of Bossa Tres for me, and MAW bring it on in typically deep stylees. Whilst the Nuyorican SOul mix may get more attention for its broken beats, the tradiotional housey doingz of the MAW mix takes it for me. Lush, rising chords provide the backdrop for the tightrope raised between funk and beauty...Buy it and enjoy.
