D-Train does Hal David and Burt Bacharach. It's a respectable cover, but nowhere near as good as the Pop versions, nor is it D-Train's best work. BUT, the first track on the B-Side is a killer and a big record back in the day at David Mancuso's LOFT and Larry Levan rocked it at the Paradise Garage too: "D" Train DUB. It's totally rocking and aggressive with powerful "Wah Wah" synth noises and aggressive percussion, and good minimal vocals too. In fact the infamous "Z" bootleg, the one with 2 versions of Prince's "Sexy Dancer", and Francois Kevorkian's "X-Medley" and "Disco Circus" dub breakdown mix also includes this track. And it's mastered by Herbie Powers Junior at Frankford Wayne, so it sounds amazing on almost any system. These are getting harder and harder to find, cuz those "in the know" buy it or own it for this track, not for the a-side.
