Mystical, sensual, thought-provoking, political, and with a beat you can dance to Essence is what music today should be! Louise Rhodes, Wendy Page, David Simpson, and Lady Kier provide excellent vocals to match AGCGs amazing breaks. The production of the album alone is awe-inspiring, but add beautiful vocals and meaningful lyrics to make the ideal perfect album. High points include the introspective Bell and Bass track "Humanity" a jazzy break w/ bells and synths plus Louise Rhodes singing about breaking free of humanity to become something more (?), "Could You Understand" is a ragga style breaks track with pumping bass about understanding the difference between life in the innercity and anywhere else (?) w/ David Simpson trying to explain to us and questioning if youd ever really know what its like, and "Beaches and Deserts" a slow summertime track about knowing every region of a persons personallity, very relaxing, comforting, and almost epic in its style. Every track is great though, not one miss on the whole album!
