5 outta 5 every time for the timeless classic that is 'You've Got To Have Freedom'. It must have appeared on countless compilations by now so odd Mr. Scruff should pick an 'obvious' tune? That can't be said of the either of the A side tracks. 'Funky Axe' is a funky downtempo drum and bass pick exercise that was originally plucked from an album called 'A Big Noise From Winnetka' (with subtitle in French, 'A Ecouter Tres, Tres, Tres Fort'). Where does he find 'em? 'Impressions' is effectively split 2 parts. The first a funky rhodes fusion before Andy interjects with 'Quiet Please' before part 2 starts a heavily orchestrated 70's rhodes and strings theme tune before drifting off. A good taster for the 'Keep It Solid Steel' series.
