Lawler gets lambasted by epic and prog heads alike for his banging style--one classic example being his vastly underratated RMX of Trisco's Muzak. Most, if not all of the critiques flung Lawler's way are undeserved: he only does tribal and he does it well. He doesn't even make an effort to be anything more than tribal and Rise In is as deep, dark and minimalistic as it gets. I could do without the vocals; the tend to take away from the beautifully harsh baseline--but the 16b RMX does a good job at downplaying them. If you enjoy this a lot, look for the Montreal Men MX.
