'Rocky's Powder mix' might be one of the cheesiest tracks I know...yet its totally perfect. All the clichés of UK 90s handbag/progressive house rolled in one single tune, but then totally sublimed into a magic timeless moment of club madness. Drums rolling, cheap acid line, piano licks, trance synth, cheeky latin vocal samples ('musica!')...i know, these ingredients seem all really dreadful (especially put together), but i cant help it, this fucking totally works! A perfect summary of a period when club attitude was so totally carefree and happy. Feelgood record tip!
