Last track 'Jericho - Personal Reflexion', printed wrong as an original, is in fact the Trance Mix.

Tiësto's notes on the tracks:
01: This peace of beautiful music is produced especially for this mix and gets you in the mood to dream away instantly.
02: I've opened my Essential Mix with this record months ago and the reactions were phenomenal. Everybody started hunting down this track.
03: We've signed Starecase to our label in Benelux, and if you ever have the chance to see them live, go check it out because they are amazing! Beautiful voice and lyrics.
04: I've performed live with the lady at Club Spin Miami and she is live just as good as on the record.
05: I have such good memories of this track, i ended my set with it in the Haoman 17 in Jerusalem. The crowd took me on their shoulders and we danced together on this song.
06: This is what i call real trance, wonderful sounds and melody, take me away!
07: I met this very talented guy called Josh Gabriel from San Francisco. He has remixed this song with Dave Dresden and i feel it's even better as my original.
08: This track was one of the highlights of my Australian tour, played it in Melbourne and Sydney and the crowd went crazy.
09: From a label which has always been one of my favourites. It's very trancy and deep, reminds me of the old school days of trance music, you rarely hear good quality underground trance nowadays.
10: From the first time i heard this one i knew this was meant to be on In Search Of Sunrise.
11: Ever since i played this at TiestoSolo 02-02-2002 in Amsterdam, people were asking me about this track. I am happy Oakey asked me to remix this because i love the vocals and the lyrics. It still gives me goosebumps.
12: Also this one reminds me of the TiestoSolo in Amsterdam, it was the second track i played after the curtain came down. Right then and there i knew the night would be perfect.
13: Their album is a must for everybody. The original of this song is already superb, but this remix sounds very eighties and has everything i need in a track; beauty, energy, drive and surprises.
14: This one is one of my favourites of all times, it reminds me of superclub La Rocca in Belgium where i used to go clubbing in the nineties. I've started playing this again a few months ago and noticed that not that many people know this track nowadays. That's why i decided to put it on this compilation.
15: Just got this track the week before the mix and fell in love with it rightaway. Energetic trance but still warm and original.

A solid entry in the series. It starts very nocturnal and moody, and ends with one of the best trance tracks of the era, but in between it is variable. Pieces like Mindcircus are Southern Sun are almost at Stairway levels of overplayedness, and the version of In My Memory presented here is insipid (the V-One remix is superior, albeit not necessarily appropriate for this album).

This is also the longest of the single-disc ISOS releases, and it feels like it - some of these tracks would have benefited from being edited down.

As regards the titular search that now spans fifteen years and twelve albums, I don't feel that 3 really comes close to finding it - like the first ISOS, it is content to fade out at ca. 4am, with the night still dark and the beats still pounding. That's ok though.

The next two instalments are disappointing, before the series recovers somewhat with editions 6 and 7.

OMFG! This mix is just beyond words! I do not care about the last songs or the not-so-perfect mixing. The first songs just suck you into the sound! Speechless! When Tiësto said that ISOS is really about melodic vocals and sounds, this is definitely what he meant! Really touching mix!

My first Tiesto CD to add to my collection and what a beatifoul mix it is!!
It starts off very downtempo and then it builds up into progressive trance never letting down the melody or the rithmic beatifoul voices behind many of the tracks.
The mixing is not as transitional/smooth as you would expect but the track choice definetly makes up for this.
A magnificient uplifting experience...GO TIESTO ^O^ !!!!!

Mixing is a tad rough at times, but, this is still a great album - excellent for chillout time! Great track selection and flow too.

The mixing was not one of Tiesto's stellar efforts. The first two tracks fit perfectly together, Noa Assembly - Into The Fire, to Dj Hooligan - Hear You Now (Grand Chillas Mix). For the longest time I refused to believe they were separate songs! From Summer calling on though the mixing gets a little rough at times.

That aside, the track selection is what kept me interested with its soothing melodies. All in all a very good set. If you are a fan of Tiesto's ISOS series, and not a technical purist this will probably not disappoint.

This CD was a great buy for me. It's one of those albums that I can slip into on a dark night. It is downbeat, it's about the particulars and does a very good job of keeping me in a soothed state. The entire CD flows very well. I know this because when I hear the tracks on the CD mixed into other songs elsewhere, it just feels wrong. It's like these songs were meant to be here. Tiesto does me and the artists very proud with ISOS3.

Excelent mixing on this set from Tiesto, its pretty hard to tell between transitions (at the beggining). Great progressive sounds altho it would've been better if some more hard sounds were added, oh well thats his style.
