what else can someone say to one of the best releases of this world for the EBM genre, a release that was groundbraking at the end of the 80s, that was still great in the 90s, that was a masterpiece and influenced for the 2000s and today is still alive... i think this release will also be "up to date" in 20 future-years

Nitzer Ebb's power establishment record. The one that remains in everyone's mind as the definitive album. It spawned the monster hit "Join In The Chant" which made it quite ok to dance to industrial on a dance floor. With help from members of Front 242 this full on assault of vocals and synths truly made an impact on what electronic music was to become. Extensive touring with fellow bandmates Depeche Mode cemented their notoriety. The honesty that Douglas McCarthy has in his voice is rare for the music Nitzer Ebb created. Many chastized their ever changing styles and even coined them as sell outs when "Big Hit" was released, which in all true cruelness was never a 'big hit'. Sure the industrial watermarks were left behind for more "song" or "melodic" material but they grew into each record with their own style. "That Total Age" is still a powerful stance in electronic music. It remains as the medal for which most hard ebm acts wish they could ever earn for themselves.
