"The Illuminator" deserves a special mentioning on this double twelve Inch. Atmospheric and emotional, this electro-funk tune was built up full of warm chords and spacey effects that seem to translate perfectly the combination between the futuristic and the soulful ambiance. Of course, it’s quite easy to imagine Mad Mike behind this tune conception. This is a lesson of how an electro masterpiece can be made far away from the obvious clichés, with the Funk, the Soul, and the Futuristic essences – here, right now, available to your ears.

This is one of my favouite UR releases - a double 12". Electronic Warfare - "Do not allow yourself to be programmed". Only UR can use such a vocal and sound sincere - an electronic anthem! Logic Bomb , Ho Chi Min , Biosensors - pure kind of electro funk that only Mad Mike can do. Illuminator - strings rarely have sounded so beautiful. Listen to this double 12" from start to finish.

The Illuminator is a heavenly beautiful track, which is dedicated to a friend of Mike Banks who was murdered.

'The illuminator' is without doubt a U.R. classic. A sweet riff and those uplifting U.R. strigs/snyth pads that only Mike Banks knows how to create.
