crazyaejay, Jun 20, 2006 This mix album is, in my opinion, one of the greatest mix albums ever created. The first Community Service release was very good, but seemed somewhat tame and flat. This release is raw and packs a strong punch from beginning to end. It is surprising that The Crystal Method manage to maintain that vibe through the whole mix. Many DJs tend to trail off from the vibe about halfway through. The last track is more soft than the rest of the disc but it is a very good ending track. If they ended it abruptly with an Evil 9 track or something it wouldnt have had the same effect. The highlights in this mix are Elite Forces tripped out breakbeat track Ghetto Fabulous, The Crystal Methods remix of The Doors classic Roadhouse Blues being mixed into the hard low frequency madness that is We Have The Energy by Evil 9, and DJ Hypers remix of The Crystal Methods Bound Too Long. Every track is great though and fit this mix perfectly.
I personally am surprised how The Crystal Method managed to release a mix album this good considering that they are ok producers with a couple hits and not widely known as DJs. This mix ranks right up there with Sashas Involver, but for some reason I tend to listen to this much more.
